Women's Day- What's so special?

Women's Day- 8th March everyone celebrates International women's day, Talking about India many of the women's didn't know that 8th march is the international women's day, still those who knows celebrates and some of them didnt even know why we celebrate the international women's day, So this is the post for people who don't know why we celebrate women's day (internationally) and for those also (specially men's who thinks there should be a men's day like women's day but they didn't know men's day exist and why we celebrate it) and for those also who thinks is it necessary to celebrate it?.
Just a thought, I may be wrong but still wanted to share this with everyone.
Basically when I am understandable enough, I came to know my mom always cook food serve it to whole family and my father goes everyday out for work and came home at evening, with a paycheck at the month end, so we are able to cover all our expenses. This is one system where women is housewife and men earns. Not at all problem with this , even I don't think so, If a women wants to be at home taking care of her house, her children's it's okay it's her choice, and a man wanted to go out and earn it's totally cool. But as the time goes I grew up and came to know that in some metro cities like pune, mumbai, etc, both husband and wife equally contributes to the income but not in kitchen (In this case also there are exceptions),This is not equality. I am not saying that everyone does it, but it generally happens, I only saw some families who does this. Both husband and wife works and at the end of the day women needs to cook and has to do all the things usually housewife does. The point here is we think this is our tradition or culture whatever we called it, that women has to do all the things necessary for family and men only work and earn. WE NEED TO CHANGE THIS THING.
So how this is related to women's  day? So lets first talk about why we celebrate women's day?
I search about it, According to Mirror UK " The event first started to campaign for better pay and rights for women, but is now aimed at inspiring females across the world."
The tradition began with the first National Women's Day on 28 february 1909 and its roots are in campaigning for better pay and voting rights. During an International conference of working women in Copenhagen, Clara Zatkin, leader of the ' Women's Office' for the social democratic party in Germany, suggested the idea of international Women's Day.On the eve of World War I campaigning for peace, Russian women observed their first international Women's Day on the last Sunday in Feb 1913. In 1965, it was declared as a non working day in USSR. Then International Women's Day was transferred to 8th march that same year and has remained the global date for the event since. In 1975 United Nations(UN) gave official sanction to international Women's Day and began sponsoring it.
So basically Women's Day mainly focus on the movement for women's rights.
This is the history behind it.
So our point is that, Is Indian Women have the rights for which we celebrate women's day?, Yes we have, in our Constitution, but there are many people who don't follow it. Today our Constitution gave equal rights to women but our men don't,(This generally happens in the rural areas of India) and there is movements going on for that.
But as a person we need to clear our thoughts and do what is best for our women. We need to help women out, to do what they want to, and yes a women is more capable then a man. She does her job as well as take care of her family at the same time. Our Mother works for us without getting anything in return, she works for us 365 days.
Our tradition says that after marriage women has to go to her husband's house, but what if a husband wants to go to her wife's house after marriage( we had a term for it "Gharjamai") but is this thing makes any difference, If such thing happens in our so called modern society will make the husband's life difficult by teasing and taunting.
We know there is equal rights to women in this country, but what parents do if they have only one daughter?. When husband's parents got sick wife will always be there to take care of them, then what if wife's parents are sick? Its her husbands responsibility to take care of her parents, isn't it? Why not husband's and wife's parents both stay with them at same time? what's problem in that? This equality I am taking about here, when this will come?
We need to ask these questions to our self and try to find solutions and answers for that. Then only there will be equality among the genders.
If we ask our elders why is this so, they simply tell us that it is our culture but no one thinks why it is there?
Male and Female are two parts of our society, from start males are considered as superior then females, because of this females always sacrificed their lives infront of men's ego. So, this part of society faces various injustice, outrage, atrocities. Still by tackling, fighting against such conditions with their capabilities and abilities, women's made their place in society not equally but ahead of men.

To find the answer of this question why we celebrate women's day I have came across various answers, some of them say, we don't know but many peoples gave me answers I am writing down,
"At least ek divas tari mahan purush lok he mantat ki women are equivalent to men.. Nahitar tyanna he kabul karayla lavne mhnje...... aani jar he debate asel ki karayla pahije ki nahi...tar obliviously karayla pahijech..."
"To strengthen women all aspect political, economical, social, cultural, mental its necessary to celebrate women's day."
" To make them realise that they too exist for themselves n not only for others."
" Don't know why but roj pahije, so I asked why? ' Tya divshi respect jashi deta ti roj dili pahije'. "
"Bahutek women's la equal vagvayla."
" Because to avoid or to stop discrimination among gender, and women's should get equal rights"
"Mahit nahi, baghav lagel, pan its natural na, Jasa aapan birthday celebrate karto, pan birthday kona individual cha karto, tasach je international day asto jasa Mother's Day, Women's Day he as a whole celebrate karto...."
"Ya divasa mule women development kiti ahe yachya hishob mandta yeto ani ground level var khup mahilanna fayda hoto.. for ex. self help group la, shivay ya divsa sathi government kahi tari scheme launch karte special for women"
" Equal Rights Sathi"
"A women brought you in this world so, every women must be respected."

These are personal opinions of the peoples, Most of them are correct and  yes its everybody perspectives why they want to celebrate women's day. Which will directly  or indirectly make lives better. We have to take some initiative to celebrate women's day in every institute of our country to make women's aware about their rights. Women's make our lives better, right from giving birth to our first friend our sister, to educating us in the form of our teachers, to our  life partners, we cant imagine our world without them.

And yes for those who don't know, there is Men's Day on 19th November, will write about it on same day.

Special thanks to Amit Mahore, Deepali Didi, Prayaas bhau, for helping me out with this blog.

The Game: One-Sided-Love....

This game started one day when the sun threw his first ray.
I saw her she didn't even notice,
but to love her was my only motive.
Love, a most wonderful feeling in the emotional world of a human being,
Everyone wants it but sometimes it started to fleeing.
This happens because love is not always we get from the one we gave it to.
This is the side of love called one-sided-love.
Its very good feeling in which we didn't expect same from the one we gave it to.
It has power to love someone we want unconditionally.

Once upon a time I opened up my heart to you.
You did what you chose to do.
You choose to keep me as best friend.
Little did you know I was dying to very end.
You killed me with every boyish look,
My heart melted and my knees shook.
I always wanted more than that ,
But I guess it wasn't meant to be,
But you'll never truly know how much you meant to me.
You were always there,
and wiped away my every tear,
I just wish you would've waited, stayed here.
I still dreamed about you in this one-sided love,
It's hard to breathe without you, like a suffocating dove.
I wish you loved me the way I loved you,
But this is the lesson that helped me learn the truth.
Guard your heart, soul and mind,
Unless you want yourself in an unruly bind.
This one-sided love has torn me apart,
This one-sided love has broken my heart.
Please be safe on this journey of life,
Comeback someday and make me,
what I wanted you to be in my life.
This one-sided love is a dangerous game,
But then again, That's the name of the Game.

A Start

Before writing this or I should say before started to writing this, I was thinking why one should write a blog. Most common answerable think I know, I asked it. The results show various reasons, some says 10 reasons to write a blog, there are 9 reasons why you should write a blog, according to Forbes. One of which I liked is "Get Some Peace of Mind". When I started to think about it Yes really it gives me a peace of mind writing this, but the most irritating thing while writing on a mobile phone are the notifications popping one by one, So simple solution don't allow it to pop on your screen, I turned it off. Now getting Peace of Mind, Actually.
I was thinking to write a blog first when I watched 3 idiots, in that movie raju writes a blog which rancho always used to read. So having that blog concept in mind I tried to create a blog and I do but then comes the issue of content, the articles, what should I write in that?, Big Question?. I wouldn't find any topic on which I can write. So I just Left It. Then after around 6 years , one of my friend started to write a blog, he used to write the articles in the newspaper similar articles he put it on his blog. The spark inside me of writing a blog ignites that time but didn't take it seriously (I have many things to do that time, Important from my point of view). In MBA Marketing we have a certification course called as digital Marketing, They taught us how to open a blog account blah blah blah thing about blog which I already know, but that course actually give me a different perspective to see at what really a blog is. Then I decided to write something, this time it's not difficult coz now I have lot of time. (Great thinker said "You have enough time to do things you want, it totally depends on you what you choose to do." So, I priortize my things, done somewhat with studies, also got a good placement, now have enough time to do the things I left earlier).
Blog helps us to convey the message we want to deliver to the world, and yes whatever I write are purely my thoughts (Sometimes words are mine thoughts of others) and from somewhere we have to start , I am starting from here.
So here comes my first blog , actually forgive me for my grammar coz I am not that much good at it, but i know atleast i am conveying my readers the message I wanted to deliver and also have opportunity to improve myself. Please feel free to suggest anything.
So, Lets start my name is Mayur Thorat, and This is my first Blog. Hope You Like It.
